You have listened to them on record. You have paid to see them live, unless you're broke and watched them on YouTube. I am here to force feed you your next obsession: learning about your favorite band's skills in the kitchen. Learn where your favorite artists get all of the energy to light up the stage or create a new masterpiece record.
The American South can be a scary place, especially when it comes to food, but Tennessee travelling band Darla Farmer know the score. We talked to band members Bryce and Joey to find out what makes their stomachs tick. Rewiring the Electric Forest is out now on Paper Garden Records.
1. What is your favorite type of ethnic cuisine?
Burmese. We need to steal Crab Rangoon back from the Chinese.
2. If you had to choose one final four course meal, what would it be?
57 oz steak, rare. Side of Rocky mountain oysters and French fried potatoes. Buffalo
heart as an appetizer.
3. What is your favorite food to have on the road?
Sack lunches consisting of a turkey sandwich, assorted fruits and maybe some chex mix.
4. Is there any food that you like to eat before shows?
The nearest restaurant that is not Mexican or Thai. Not that we have anything against Mexican or Thai food, they have just proven to be a bad idea before shows.
5. What is your favorite condiment and why?
Hot mustard. If you put enough of it on, you can eat virtually anything.
