Rock City Weekly: The Best Allston Music Offerings

For better or worse, glorious Allston is the music capital of Boston. Berklee kids flock to the many venues, musicians host impromptu performances on the street, bus or T and every lamppost is plastered with posters advertising upcoming shows. To pay homage to this area that we all either love, hate, or simply can’t leave, I present a weekly column outlining the best Allston Rock City’s Best Bands each week. While these gigs are scheduled, I can’t promise that you won’t catch an earful of band rehearsal while wandering through Allston’s eccentric city streets.

As much as it would be easy to hate Valentine's Day, I can't bring myself to do it. The holiday is all about the haves vs. the have-nots; those who are happily coupled and those who are single. Couples are expected to shower one another with gifts, single people simply feel like shit (try being the receptionist and deliver flowers to the office all day while getting none for yourself...it will make the most independent people feel left out.) In that case, this weeks events all fall on the big V-Day so feel free to drag out your sweetie to one of the following, or have a wild singles night out.
